When you are twenty years old, you very often don’t have a clue how to talk to women. If you should therefore introduce yourself to a young lady, do not start off the discussion with a ten minute speech about how well you can negotiate the waves with your new surfboard. Rather ask her about herself. She would love to hear that you are interested in her and her life.

Women also generally like men who are courteous. Don’t overdo it, but opening a door for her or offering to carry her shopping bags or heavy briefcase will earn you loyalty points. Don’t be patronizing though ‘ it’s a delicate balancing act which you will learn over time.

You also have to learn how to talk to women in front of other people. They hate it if you make remarks about how pretty the neighbor’s wife looks in her bikini. So unless you want to spend the night in the dog box, keep the conversation away from the assets of other ladies in the room.
