How To Get Your Ex Back

Breaking up with someone we love is an inevitable fact of life that we all go through at one point. Break ups are different to all the other stuff we do in our lives, because the more we break up, the harder it is. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve broken up with someone, every new break up is harder than the last. Naturally, this means that there is a period of time after a break up where you really want to get your ex back.

Every relationship takes the same pattern in the beginning. When you first meet, everything is perfect. Then you start getting comfortable with your partner and end up having to adjust to little things. One day, those little things become annoying and you end up bickering.

There is a saying that fits well in this case: “familiarity breeds contempt”. It’s a big effort to not take each other for granted. Relationships cannot work in any other way. Even if you are doing really well though, it can happen that your other half wants to break up. Here are some things you can do in order to get your ex back if worst comes to worst.

Make an apology. It’s a hard route to take for lots of people. Maybe because they don’t think anything they did was wrong, or sometimes they don’t even understand the full extent of their wrongdoing. Before you make an apology it’s necessary to find out what was done wrong. Be wary that a true apology doesn’t lead to further argumentation. You have to be truthful and humble.

Speak with your ex. As soon as both of you are ready to talk about matters, then you should. Try not to stress your ex into talking, that’s a plan that always fails. Also be careful that the issues you discuss don’t lead to further fighting. Watch the direction of the conversation and change your approach if needed.

Be calm and adhere to logic. You’d do best to avoid putting blame onto your ex for anything, even if you feel you are right. That’s the best way to never win your ex back. Simply talk things over in the manner of adults who can discuss rationally, patiently and intelligently.

Give your ex room to move. It might look sensible to rush into things and just discuss your case all over again hoping that your ex will be ready for you. It’s not very sensible though, because people deal with problems at different speeds and your ex may not be as up to speed as you are. Don’t worry too much about this as it isn’t a bad sign, it just means you need to wait a bit more before your ex will be ready to discuss issues with you again. Give your ex the room they need to think. You will know anyway when they are ready by the way they respond to you in conversation.

“Breaking up is hard to do” goes the famous song. And it’s true, because it’s not a simple thing. The more content you were with each other the more miserable it will be when you are not together. When you know the best way to look at the problems, the better your chances are that your ex will come back to you and you’ll live happily ever after.
