A giant hurdle for some people when changing the way they eat, and a huge one for me is fighting unhealthy cravings. Like someone addicted to drugs or alcohol must go through a detox so they can heal, we pretty much must to do the same thing. The cells in our body are made up of stuff from foods that we have ingested in the past. The body usually craves much of the same unhealthy foods that contribute to the makings of each one of the sick cells in our body. For drug detoxes, often times, dry sauna therapy is used to removes the drugs through perspiration. That generally helps eliminate the physical drug cravings which could allow the person a better chance of remaining sober. For us, adjusting our eating habits may very well activate the clearing of toxic foods as well which can be naturally removed in our poop, sweat and perhaps urine. However, we still might having cravings for those foods while some of the contaminants in our cells are still there.

I, myself, have found that right away after having the first swallow of my smoothie my cravings for grease, meat, salt, etc started to drop off. After I was done drinking the smoothie, the unhealthy cravings were gone completely and I would be fulfilled. The issue then was that the cravings would return as I grew hungry. So I started to make certain I was on top of it and would have another green smoothie ready and waiting before the cravings would come back, or not too long after they reared their ugly heads. The unhealthy cravings gradually subsided for good as I cleaned out my system. Afterward I started to crave greens instead!
